The Verification Process

1. Business Number Verification

Every vendor must provide a valid, government-registered business number. We cross-check this against official provincial and federal business registries to confirm the business is legally registered and in good standing - not a side hustle operating in a grey zone.

2. Business Owner Verification

We verify the identity of the actual person or people behind the business, confirming legal ownership, matching government-issued ID against business registration records, and ensuring the person managing the storefront is who they say they are.

3. Location Verification

We confirm the vendor's physical storefront exists at the listed address through documentation review and direct outreach, sometimes including an in-person or photo-based site check. This ensures customers are ordering from a real, operating location in their city, not a fabricated listing.

4. Food Safety & Handling Compliance

For grocery and prepared food vendors, we confirm valid food handling permits and public health compliance records with local authorities, ensuring vendors meet the same food safety standards customers would expect walking into any certified grocery store.

5. Business Insurance & Licensing Check

Where applicable, vendors must demonstrate appropriate business licensing and liability coverage - an added layer of protection for both customers and the vendor community.

6. Ongoing Performance Monitoring

Verification doesn't stop at onboarding. We continuously track order accuracy, fulfillment times, and customer ratings. Vendors who fall below our quality threshold are flagged for review, retraining, or removal from the platform.

7. Community Feedback Loop
